    Proper pressure for R134a freon

Bishop: I thought it was supposed to be less of a charge of the refrigerant itself, but would end up with higher pressures?

VPC + SAFC 2 Installation / Wiring, need to know how to.

Empera: I have the S-AFC II installed with the HKS VPC. I have an 89, what year is yours? I'll try to help out and get some pics this afternoon, or if you know the color of the wires, I'll check where mine are tapped into...

    Is SupraofDoom's $1,000 hood doomed?!?!?!

Hey Grant, It looks like he padded it and protected it enough that it will probably be fine. I'd be checking it every 5 minutes or so if it were me, though!

ac problem compressor is not kicking in

The fans don't kick in with the compressor, if you look at the TSRM the fans are controlled by a HI pressure switch. You also might want to check if you have enough refrigerant and NOT bypass your HI/LOW switch. Running your system when you are low on freon probably isn't the best idea. There...

sun > hot interiors... electric tint?

I also just saw some new gadget on TV that attaches to your window and using solar cells, powers a small fan to circulate air through the interior and out the crack in the other window. Can't remember how much, but if you did this with a cracked sunroof, it would probably work pretty good...

    r134a -> r12

"Jetjock, paging Jetjock...customer on line 1." Search around for his posts. They will greatly educate you on A/C systems. If it was converted, the connectors are different on the high and low side ports. If it is still R12, I would say stay with R12. If you get a new compressor, I would...

    ATI Super Damper™ Harmonic Dampers?????

The summit price isn't bad considering the Unorthodox underdrive pulley costs a little more, but without the whole "dampening" part.

    ATI Super Damper™ Harmonic Dampers?????

What is the added benefit of this damper? Is it lighter weight? Does it add some increased reliability over the stocker?

    What's a healthy fuel pressure?

Set the pressure via the TSRM. 23-30 with the hose connected and 33-40 with it disconnected. I had mine set at 38 with the hose connected & 550s and had to pull 20% of fuel on pretty much the whole curve on the dyno with my S-AFC II. I turned the fuel pressure down to 28 at idle with the hose...

    starting problem

The starter isn't a lot of fun. The top bolt is a real PITA. If the EGR is removed, you will have an easier time with it.

found the limit of the stock exhaust manifold

I asked Ron a while ago about making a tubular manifold to work with the SP61 GT, and he hasn't said no yet, but I also know he is really busy. What I would want is a tubular one to replace the factory one and yet allow me to re-use all the performance parts I have already bought.

    Maft-Pro & RC 550's

The manual doesn't specify it? I'd ask either MalloyNX or Supralover2000. I think Mike is still running 550's. And Dr. J is, of course, the master of this sucker. You might want to try looking or posting in the BIG Maft Pro thread.

    MKIII vs SRT-4

I did not mean to confuse you, but my buddy actually raced the SRT4 with his 91 Mustang GT. Being bone stock, he was happy with his 15.5 on a 160,000 mile 5.0. You can call BS if you like, but those were the guy's times. Maybe he is a horrible driver, maybe he lied about how much he had...

    MKIII vs SRT-4

Most of the guys here probably don't have a lot of experience with SRT 4's, but a buddy of mine ran a modded SRT4 with $4k in mods and it didn't even bust into the 13's. Realistically, you should probably try to search around for posts regarding safe pressures on the CT-26. I know there...
