    The 7mgte Bolt-On Turbo Catalog

The speed sensor would be super cool. I'd do a little custom digital display in the cabin to watch the RPM soar under load, haha.

    The 7mgte Bolt-On Turbo Catalog

Hmm, interesting. I'm going for 500 WHP and need to decide on a turbo. I hadn't heard of these. Integrated BOV and Boost control solenoid? I've never heard of such a thing! The 6262 from Sound Performance is what I'm eyeing as of now. I'm having a hard time finding a better value anywhere else.

    7MGTE Build

I thought the valve covers were going to remain dirty and unfinished at the end! Glad to see some refinished ones went on in the end. Makes me anxious to get to my own build!

My Other Car Hobby - Tall n Slow

Nice, I like the idea! Yeah, RMNP, and many other CO mountain roads, can be better for touristy sight seeing than canyon driving. Gorgeous scenery all over.

My Other Car Hobby - Tall n Slow

I actually wish I got the Lexus version, LX470. The lift in my garage dictates I can't do much of a lift so the hardcore suspension systems are out of the question either way. The AHC system is roughly a 2" lift on demand. It's expensive to fix, but so is a complete aftermarket lift kit with...

    7MGE Dyno July 2017

Lol, no, that was a typo. Dangerously lean. My bad! Do you want to run 13:1 under load though? I thought 11.5:1 was about the end of safe AFRs under load.

    7MGE Dyno July 2017

The chart looks like the numbers are correct, but torque took a nose dive at the top end, which explains the low peak power figure. AFRs are also dangerously rich through most the test. I'd love to get more info on that run and setup. There are a few odd things about it - at least to my...

My Other Car Hobby - Tall n Slow

I have done part of the Alpine Loop, but not as a weekend adventure kinda deal. I forget which trails are a part of that. One of my favorite multi-day trips was a mix of trails pretty close to the Metro area, actually. It included Kingston Peak, where the Post #1 pics were taken. There are lots...

thinking of a gun to buy..

Haha, nice thread bump. Here I am 3.5 years after my post and I ended up buying a P226 (MK25). Absolutely love it. Best gun I've ever fired. I'm still very much an amateur with it, but it's all I could ask for. Expensive as hell, but worth the wait until I had the extra disposable funds.

    Help! Supra doesn't run right

I've now dealt with that parts store alternator test circus with 4 different vehicles and concluded that the test is only a small part of a good diagnostic. I got both good and bad test results with multiple vehicles, back to back. I think their test is simplistic enough and of short enough...

    Your job title!!!

They're definitely appreciating for clean examples. Nothing like the mk4, but values seem to be creeping up.

Can you get a permanent plate for our cars?

Arizona has a collector car registration option. You must have collector insurance. I had it on my 90. Up to 5 year registration and no emissions testing, ever. Colorado, on the other hand has no such exclusion. It's ridiculous that the requirements aren't simply to pass the dyno-tailpipe test...

    Your job title!!!

Yeah, but you'd still have work to do on that Porsche. I still track every purchase and chat cost per mile and per day of ownership. My last Supra cost me around $10k of lost funds over ten years. That's damn good for a performance car I drove the shit out of and spent money on "strictly fun"...

    Your job title!!!

That's about what it takes to keep a mk3 running these days. ;) OR You've got to be as stubborn as an engineer to keep working on one of these.

    Your job title!!!

"Application Engineer" now, but I've been a Manufacturing Engineer most my career up until mid this year. I was aiming to work for a big Automotive OEM in years past, but never got beyond first round interviews/screenings and after talking to a few people that had left Toyota and Nissan I lost...

Sweet, thanks! I'll get that together and sent out to you. I'll have to check on my green display inventory.
