The Fruition of Obsession -- 310,000 mile makeover --

I saw the picture of this on facebook posted by you via YotaMD. Looks like a really slick item. If you're taking any sort of requests, a digital wideband display in the same location would be AMAZING. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

The carrier bearing in the middle of the transmission was worn out pretty severely and clunking all over the place. The 1 piece was a lot lighter, and only marginally more expensive than a new OEM bearing, so I went for it. It's a really great piece and I'm happy I purchased it.

So what's the latest? What's left? I decided to just let the toe link ride as-is for now. It's not broken and should work okay for the time being. One of these days I'll need to swipe one from Steve. I did some troubleshooting on the A/C circuit, and have some plans, but just haven't gotten...

Crossing things off my list! Installed the poly steering rack bushings. Got the turbo back from Steve after he worked some magic on it...things were pretty messy in there!

    Stock wheel tire options

Buy them up! Put them on all 4 corners and enjoy the car.

    Stock wheel tire options

The example I gave is one of the most extreme, but I think you'd be pleased with how much improvement you'd get from purchasing a set of "Extreme Performance Summer" tires. A set of Hankook RS3s or BFG Rivals would be a huge improvement, with a bit more of a focus on straight line grip vs. just...

    Stock wheel tire options

What tires do you have right now? There are plenty of tires that likely mean a dramatic improvement in grip. How deep of tradeoffs are you willing to put up with? I'm sure these will stick, but I'm not sure you'd want to drive on the street with them...

Did more stuff: - Installed stock rear sway bar and new whiteline endlinks. - Installed new Shaftmasters driveshaft. - Replaced spark plugs. - Installed new TRD Oil Cap - Installed VVTi solenoid o-ring What's left (for now): - Get new toe link for right rear of the car. - Figure out new...

That's essentially what the AutoXers were saying. The whole idea is that you want to run as little rear bar *as you can get away with* - having a huge rear bar means you're lifting the inside rear tire when cornering, leading to the inability to put power down on corner exit. Of course, if you...

Well, I'm happy to keep talking to myself. :) Let's review what the status on everything is: - Rear Sway Bar: I got new endlinks, and I'll be sticking with the stock bar I have in the garage for now. The AutoX guys all recommended a stock or even removing the rear bar, so I'm not going to...

The diamond in the rough. 1991 blue metallic turbo targa restoration

My opinion on coilovers: 99% of them are Taiwanese/Chinese junk. BC, Fortune, D2, Megan, KSport, Stance, etc. etc. are ALL from Taiwan or China, and you get what you pay for, cheap junk. They have terrible damping, and are stiffly sprung to a point of being detrimental to performance...

Jolly good. CXRacing makes an intercooler kit for the 1JZ VVTi now. I'm not a fan of China parts, but if the glove fits... http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=KIT-1JZVV-STOCK-SUPRA3-IC0022-AI&Category_Code=#term

Bring back the Kaminari 3 piece spoiler???

My two questions/concerns would be: 1. How much money? 2. Will I have to drill any holes, or can I use my existing 89+ mounting holes? Depending on those answers, money flying in that direction.

The Konis are *for* a MKIII Supra, with 'generic' springs and seats attached. It was about $1,200 shipped to my door.
