Is it Possible to swap Valve Covers?

Wait until you get a minor exhaust leak. Guarantee you your first thought will be "shit, I've got rod knock again..." Takes a few years to get used to a good running Supra after a string of bad luck/bad building practices.

    ls6 powered mk3?

Well, it isn't exactly my brother's cup of tea, but I bought an LS400 to act as a donor for my 48 Fleetmaster... and there is another guy with a thread in Other Cars with a 46 Chevy that is getting a 2j from the looks of things. ;) Nissan, traditionally. Group C, Can-Am, Supra versus Skyline...

    Another Noob Question...

Put some heat shields on the exhaust if you can fabricate a way to make them stay on. Believe it or not, those factory heat shields do work quite nicely. ;)

    Wind Shield Wiper Issues

Probably still have a bad ground or a wire shorting out... Your motor isn't likely the problem, it does move your wipers, correct? Take it from someone who has replaced the motor, it isn't exactly my idea of fun. ;)

    The Small Questions Thread

Or the nice officer... Got a picture? Never seen one, or even anything that would suggest such a system in our cars. I've only ever seen the LATCH system on cars with rear bulkheads.

    7m-ge

For what you would spend to make a 7mge a 300hp engine, an LS swap would get you 33% more power, a LOT more torque, and you wouldn't end up with a highly strung engine that is difficult to extract good manners from. Check out Defiant7m's build thread if you want some ideas on how to make a high...

    Help. Grounding thing on alternator

Mine sounds like a supercharger, quite fun if you have a "silent" song to listen to. :D Remember guys, we're trying to get oatmeal to come out of his nose... If it isn't grease, it can probably stay in the engine bay. If you don't like how something looks, relocate it! ;)

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

I took a picture of my 84 and 89... As well as did a little teardown/cleanup on the 7m that came out of the 87 I have (widebody shell, in case anyone is wondering)...

    Help with Maintenance

To be serious and answer the OP's initial question, it would be a good idea to replace all fluids, and anything that is rubber, as well as torquing the head bolts again. I forget the proper procedure with doing that, perhaps someone will chime in, as I've read a few different methods...

    1jz on its way!!!!!

Definitely don't need to tell me, running low on oil is why my 7m finally kicked the bucket. Note to the OP, the owners manual will suggest running 5.5 quarts with a filter change. I run (along with several of the old timers on here with WAY more experience with these cars than I have) 6.5...

    TE37 rims help.?

Wondering what your coworkers drive that they think your car isn't noticeable... Last time I saw a Supra I didn't know about in town, I flipped around and followed him for a bit to say hi. Then again, I live in a small town, so... Anyway, car looks nice. You don't get hassled over having your...

Missing a bunch of stuff from my engine bay?

Welcome to the fun of owning a 20 year old car where most of the time, you've had at least one previous owner think that they know how to make your car run better than the people that designed it... in some cases, they're right, but not very often is that *your* case. :p Things I notice missing...

    Buy or Rent Spring Compressor?

Difference is, with a 12-volt car system, if you screw something up, you get shocked, it hurts. On a 120/240-volt system in your house, if you screw something up, you get killed. Don't take this as a crack at you, but don't let confidence in your abilities get in the way of clear thinking, and...

Upgraded (almost).. wondering what to expect....

Grandavi, the wideband is a device to monitor your air:fuel ratio. Definitely useful if you're using a piggyback or standalone to tune the car, or have someone tune it. I have one in my car, was a preventative measure for me, as I just wanted to make sure that my car wasn't going to run lean at...

    Getting Another Supra..... Finally!!!

Thought it had brown interior. Lucky man, nice find. What paint code, 204? Anyway, couple questions: -That your SW20? -Why is the left rear wheel that much dirtier than the rest?

Bring back the Kaminari 3 piece spoiler???

Talk is cheap gentlemen. I see FIVE of you who seem rather eager. I can't really help you out here, but are you guys ready to put some money where your mouth is in the event that Shine were to decide to replicate this for whatever reason? I mean, at a $600 market price, that's $3000 for them in...

    My first dyno today

That completely explains the gear ratios seeming so weird to me, you and I have MUCH different setups, but I would be willing to bet that with your power output and gearing, you would be a good match for my car...

    2JZ S14 240SX.... aka "UGR Lambo Killer"

Just a thought, but does anyone else find it strange to see a $20,000 engine setup in a $4000 car? I applaud the guy for sticking with the platform, despite his obvious ability to afford "better" cars. :)

Suspension Advice for a Cruiser/AutoX Car

Well, I'll explain as best I can. When I bought the car back in 2008, the Megans were on the car already. I have NO idea if the previous owner (owners? Not sure who put the suspension on) set the preload in any particular manner. I did my best to try to adjust the suspension as evenly as...
