How difficult is it to recirculate an aftermarket BOV? I know the stocker will only last for so long, and once you turn up the boost you're pretty much guaranteed to need a new one.
Has anyone had any experience with this shop? They seem to have a nice place, and since I'll be looking for a tuner next year, I was curious if anyone has anything to say about them.
I know this is mentioned over and over, but I haven't been able to find an actual explanation as to the pros/cons between venting your BOV to atmo vs recirculating it. Can someone please explain this for me?
Yeah, this is probably one of the most frequently overlooked mods. It's cheap as hell, takes 2 hours (at most, see below) if you're extremely detail-oriented or 45 minutes if you're not, and makes a HUGE difference. I sat in my (not-running) car for like 10 minutes last night just throwing it...
Well I went at it last night with some sandpaper and a bit more muscle and it went in no problem.
On a related note, I also replaced the shifter socket and did the SOGI shifter mod last night... HOLY SHIT that thing is awesome! I've got maybe 1 mm of play in my shifter now! For $20 and...
When I bought mine I found a handful of change and a nail trimmer in about 3/4" of water in the little compartment behind the shifter. We called it "change soup', and now call the compartment the "Soup Bowl".
I also found that it had another BHG caused by a shitty fix of the first BHG.
I pushed a little but it just didn't want to go. I also compared it against what was left of the original and it was almost a mm larger in diameter.
I'll have MC send me another one and see what happens then...
So I bought a white poly shifter seat for my '88 R154 and tried to install it last night to no avail. Everything looks good, but the part is just a hair too big. I've done this before on my truck, so I know what I'm doing, it just doesn't fit.
Has anyone run into this before? Was there a...
Yeah, reading that page will really help. I recommend printing the whole thing off and going through it with a red pen sometime, and taking notes. That's what I did, and I'm glad I did it.
