    doors keep freezing

Yeah and I was miserable. I'm more of a cool weather person. I have a hell of a time sleeping when it gets that warm, and I can't justify the AC in the middle of December. But the weather is nice from a working on Supra stand point.

Wait...what meteor shower? Damn, I'm always the last to know anything.

    Wilwood caliper creaking sound?

Have you sent ARZ a pm about this? He was on the board 2 days ago and he is very knowledgeable about his system. Shoot him a PM, I'm sure he'll respond quickly.

    ultra rare supra for sale

I know people that genuinely believe that all Toyota has ever produced is compact, fuel efficient, FWD vehicles. They are even absolutely positive at those small Toyota trucks from the 70's and 80's were all FWD. They believe with total conviction that if it says Toyota it must be FWD. I don't...

    engine under-cover needed?

My lack of one cost me a lot of money. A stray rock kicked up by someones tire bounced up from under there and caught the fan and destroyed it. The disintegrating fan blade proceeded to send shrapnel through the fan shroud, a radiator hose, and radiator, destroying all of them. And it nearly got...

5 years of Supra ownership... How long have you been in the game?

Turned over 7 years a few months back, and have loved every moment of Supra ownership.

    A sad end...

True, but they have to go through refueling and overhaul after 25 years, that cost us 2.5 billion on the last one. Outside of the keel and superstructure they damn near rebuild the whole thing. And then roughly every 4 years they go back into dry dock for system upgrades, usually in the 250...

    29lbs of boost on a 2003 Evo

For the EVO it's pretty straight forward. A tactrix cable plugs into the OBD-II connector with a second connector pluging into the flash connection right next to it. This cable has a USB connection on the other end for a computer running ECUflash. It's a simple, fast and well designed system...

    29lbs of boost on a 2003 Evo

Well.... Technically they did, but only in Japan. But you're right his is a 2006. I can't believe it's already been that long since he bought it, and it only has 30,000 miles on it. Nonetheless EVO's love to be modded, and are an absolute blast play with. When I was in Washington I was odd man...

Snow plus Supra equals a very slow drive home

Dealing with the supra in snow is not fun. I've had to do it before and am convinced I survived due in large part to luck. And I lived in a state that still allowed studded snow tires. Something else that also helped was about 400lbs of sandbags over the rear axle. Driving anywhere is stressful...

Am I the only one who thinks that electric fans are a downgrade?

While it's true they fail, look at the difference in failures. One isn't going to leave you stranded somewhere if it fails.

It's the same. They even use the same program to log data, EvoScan.

Am I the only one who thinks that electric fans are a downgrade?

I would consider it a downgrade simply based on the complexity of the system. The number of possible failure points, even on a well designed system is still considerably higher than a comparable mechanical solution. We have the ability to run a mechanical fan on our cars, most cars these days do...

    29lbs of boost on a 2003 Evo

Like Toyotanos said their ECU's are easily flashable and the software to do so is free, their ECU amounts to a Full standalone and as such they can change any parameter they choose. My friend is running a 2008 EVO RS and he is pushing 29psi on E-85 and 1400cc injectors. Not hard to do for them.

2J Motor Mounts - Wrong Ones?

Ah, my bad, reading comprehension > me. When you said the driverside was sitting an inch or so off my brain went dumb I completely disregarded when you said the engine itself was straight. That said can we get a pic of how the trans mount looks? It might give me a better idea of what the issue...

    ABS Delete

I'd say a little more ignorance than experience. The ABS system in our cars may not be the most advanced out but it's still very good, and miles ahead of ABS systems from Ford or Chevy in the 80's and 90's. You, as a human being, cannot out preform the ABS system on our cars. If you genuinely...

    Gran Turismo 5, anyone?

As I stated in a previous post the damage modeling is a joke. But in it's very undeserving defense, what most people don't know is that basic damage modeling isn't activated until level 20, and full damage(including mechanical) by level 40. So when I get there, no more bumper cars to win.
