i agree it was designed for small plane impacts(cessnas and such), but not a 747 passenger plane doing 500+ mph? i watched some shows about it with the original architect that designed it, but i dunno..

hate to say it, but inspect your turbo shaft for play while its apart, i have had the same thing basically happen to me and it toasted my turbo from overspinning it to fast (i think).. mine was old though, , yours may be fine, just trying to save you another suprise later... :)

yes its internal spring, no its not replaceable, the stock actuator is crimped shut... some aftermatket ones you can..

i have a spare actuator for you if you decide to keep the car..pm me...

LOL, there ya go... i dont mean to be a jerk here.., but how can you tell how far over 8psi you go, if something was to fail, like the actuator line previously mentioned... i think the boost gauge should always be the first mod for people, imo..

do you have an aftermarket boost gauge installed or are you using the stocker gauge>??

i used to skate as a mode of easier hitchiking into town many yrs ago.. my buddy had a stretched half pipe in his old barn... i could do the drop in and turn around, but thats about it. i could also drift it sideways down a hill at high speeds to a tire screeching stop.... lol:biglaugh:
