    Idle adjustment

Yes, adjusting the TPS can fix the code 51, But there are other things like the AC switch "on", the clutch in/out of park or the gas pedal slightly pressed will also show a code 51. They all have to do with cruise control functions. (IDL and E2) Code 41 is the potentiometer side of the...

    why would this block crack?

I agree. It does look like a fresh crack Nick. LOL Justin, No arguements here.. Tig: What did the threads on that bolt look like if you remember?

    why would this block crack?

Could a frost crack let coolant into the head bolt threads through the crack, then rust up and cause the same problem breaking the bolts loose? Just a thought.. :)

    Idle adjustment

Unplug your TPS and see how it runs. Code 41 is bad, code 51 can be adjusted out. I would also say look at what ever you did to the ISC closely to see if there is a vacuum leak in that area.

    why would this block crack?

Superjustin13: It's not up to me, but I for one, do appreciate your help. For the record, I am not saying your theory on over heating is wrong. It is totally possible imo. ;)

    Did you evolve?

Very true, He (hubbard) was worth around $450 million at the time of his death in 1986. As for scientology, some peg the real total as low as 50,000 members whose excessive financial commitment propels the church's unknown worth into estimated tens of billions of dollars. Edit: <kicks...

    Towing the Supra

This is also true (dolly or no dolly). If you do this, Lock the steering wheel straight, then wrap the seat belt around the steering wheel twice and connect it to the seatbelt lock and remove all the slack. Or you can tie it in a knot or to the drivers door (on most cars) and exit the...

    Did you evolve?

I think that it is odd that you so easily dismiss the work of paleontologists and geologists because their info is also "online" and therefore bogus. Yet you believe and accept so completly in a story book that was written and rewritten again and again over the last two thousand years or so, as...

    why would this block crack?

I have seen many blocks freeze and crack before it pops a freeze plug out. It all depends on temp, wind chill and wind direction as to what will freeze first. With the hundreds of 7m's here with over heating problems, I would have thought this would be common to others if it was really from...

    Towing the Supra

No offence, but is that a joke? I was a tow truck driver for five years and I have never heard that before. Please explain how it can cause any more wear than actually driving the car??

    why would this block crack?

Suprajustin13: You are assuming it had good coolant, I am assuming it did not. You do not need to be agressive about it. Yes, I know what temp water freezes at also. If you seriously think that the crack is caused from overheating or from debri in the bolt hole then we differ in...

    why would this block crack?

I would have to guess that the coolant in the block froze solid and cracked the block at some point. I have not seen that before..:(
