Well the place I take my cars to only does the computer test. They really dont do a visual on parts etc. Just hook it to the machine and if the numbers pass, they get paid. SO I guess the main question is, will a 1JZ pass smog by the numbers only?
I guess my biggest concern is when Driftmotion does the 1JZ swap, I dont know if it will have everything to pass smog. I mean, theres plenty of them floating around, so what did they do to pass smog?
He keeps stating that any car will look better with her sitting inside it...but hasnt posted pics to back this "theory" up :naughty:
I think we start a vote for pics of both cars with her sitting in each of them to truely decide fairly :icon_razz
If you get good e-codes make sure you get the version as used in Germany or any other LHD Euro Country. Otherwise you will get a flare on the left hand side and will blind everyone.

Looks pretty nice.
Eventually, I will be using a gold wheel with a polished lip but thats down the road when there are funds for wheels and tires. Hard to spend that kind of money when you pay so little for the vehicle itself (mods not included)
Which is why im going for mkiv wheels initially.
I think part of the problem was the approach.
If it was done in a more friendly manner, rather than straight to the point, he may have taken a different direction to his answers.
Im not saying that the question(s) were rude, but seemed very strong and to the point and he may have taken it...
This is a great question for those of us who are not in the know.
I guess it would depend on how you drive the car, how often you drive it and many other variables.
In my case, I am having DriftMotion rebuilt and upgrade the engine/turbo and it will NOT be a daily driver but will be driven...
