Very good painting and it also gives me an idea. When I go to repaint the front bumper, I think I will do like that picture and paint the "grill" black while the remainder of the bumper is white. Unless I go with an aftermarket bulper cover (shine)
I checked them out a while ago and got a quote as well.
The seem to do good machine worrk and have parts but they dont install or tune. SO if youre just looking for parts and machine work, and dropping it all off at their shop for however long, I say do it.
Another alternative would be to use the headlight film in yellow. Yes it would cost a little more, but would last longer. Both methods probably have similar output results.
Yes and that is what I have, a glass yellow capsule that sits over the halogen bulb. But this is out of an is300 foglight projector so it wont simply bolt up to the SUpra foglamp. So i'll have to open it up in order to mount it for use.
Did that person paint the rear reflector of the fog light??!!
That wont hold up.
I got a set of is300 yellow capsules and plan to install them into the clear fogs. Just dont know how im going to do it as of yet. I'll probably have to remove the front lens and mount it from the front...
Nice writeup.
Let me ask you this...since you are painting the outside of the lens, and its just paint how long does it last? With road grit sandblasting bumpers and everything down there, does the paint get blasted away in a few thousand miles?
For your setup, a Flowmaster 2-Chamber would sound good. Deep, throaty and not like a tin can. Also MAgnaflow could get what you wanted but it depends on what type of tone you are looking for.
Back when I had a MKII, I had flowmasters and it sounded like a small 8 cylinder...but it obviously...
Took me a while to get that it reads "Totally 80's"
If I were on the road trying to figure it out, id probably be in an acident.
IMO, dont waste money on vanity plates.
Well since its a painted wheel and not polished aluminum, you need to treat it as if it were paint on the car. Meaning, using a clearcoat polish for paintjobs can hopefully get the scuffs out or at least reduce them so they arent as noticable.
