Consider yourself lucky, the best I've been quote is in the £4000 area (Roughly 9ish grand american) on a MK3 Supra on fire and theft (they'll only pay if the car gets burnt out, stolen they'll fix the other person's car if I hit them) - It's the same with any other decent cars out there.

I love the way that you americans are lucky enough to have such great first cars compared to the crap we have to roll in here in the UK - Here you can't have anything more than a 1.6 without paying $3000+ a year on insurance :3d_frown:

flubyux2 is right in theroy - These big power monsters don't put down big power until 4000rpm+, that should give you around 300 to play with before you hit the "danger zone", that should be driveable, right? Sorry to go off topic, but how much power could roughly $20,000 make on a 7M, I was...

Could sort you out with a 1JZ, I think the guy is selling it for £900, it's in london too.

The 7M is cheaper, but not by much. By the time the HG and other "Vital" upgrades, It will probably turn out to be a lot more? In no Way am I bashing the 7M, I'm just looking at the most cost effctive way to make 500hp.

Hmm, Not sure about American Prices, but Surely it's Cheaper to go 2JZ NA-T then it would be to build a 1JZ or 7M up to the same Level (say, 400-500 bhp)?

When did you buy it? Prices have Shot up lately, I once won a 1987 for £255 in winter, but sadly the seller got kicked off of ebay before I could get his contact details. So now I'm supraless and the prices of MK3's have shot up :(
