auto trannies use a cooler inside of the radiator. and the stock oil cooler is next to the ic. so you are correct. when you buy a aluminum rad. they don't come with tranny coolers in them so you would have to do an aftermarket one anyway. i did the same thing. but i also bought a bigger oil...
