Have you had the head and block machined yet? Do not buy the MHG yet, you don't even know what size you need to keep it around stockish compression. When you install a MHG, you would be best off to pull the engine and take it to a machinist witha CBN machine and tell them to get the RA spec down...
Before anyone answers, did you burp the system after you finished the HG job? Did it actually overheat or just start spewing out of the overflow? Got try to burp the car and drive it around after you're done IF it didn't overheat.
I guess it would be a decent buy if you took the turbo as soon as you got it and shipped it to MDC to have him clean out the walnut shells in it and to put better internals into it.
Bad grounds would be my first guess on the starting problem. So you never actually made it to autozone right? Let's wait and see what the electrical experts say on the other things (I use a R154 so I can't help on the auto).
Sounds like your day is starting out pretty shitty ;).
There are a couple different places, try the vedors section on here or google it...
Okay okay, just this once, go to suprasport.com and take a good long look through that site (stay away from the power adders for now, maintenance first my young grasshoppa ;)).
We'd be rich ;).
Plus, a 2.0mm MHG isn't the largest, there are 3.0mm ones out there ;).
Listen dude. the best thing to start out at once you get this car is to buy a Hose Techniques Silicone hose kit to replace your vacume hoses. Replace all old coolant hoses (there are more hoses than...
Usually the lower cable breaks more often than the top half. Uscrew the bottom half, then uscrew it from the transmission. look inside the tranny and more than likely the head of the speedo cable will still be in there, pull it out, along with all the metal shavings from the shredded cable and...
Think about it guys, and exhaust for the supra isn't a hard thing to get off, let alone steal. Mine is held on by two bolts and two hangers. If someone really was in a hurry, they could have mine off in 5 minutes tops. Plus the exhaust is a relatively expensive piece considering how easy it is...
Tial and SSQV are a good combo to use (I think Dr. J has this setup). The Tial dumps shit loads of air, but is slow to open, that's where the SSQV picks up in the lower, half boost areas ;).
I'm not saying it's ok, I'm just saying that the people who have lengthened the wires so far haven't had any issues unless they were DIY wires and not done correctly (I plan on relocating my coil pack too BTW since I got a nice set of chrome ceramic coated NA valve covers ;)).
