Long answer: You can replace them with H4 housings. IF you are going to put HID's in them, at least get the E-code (cibie or Hella) housings or you'll be blinding everyone. Also keep in mind the cheap HID kits are just that, cheap, and won't...
Will take several custom parts ot make it work correctly. Also, the stock calipers are expensive and would more than likely be cheaper in the long run to go with a big brake kit...
Not like the cooler is an issue since it's after the filter and dumps into the pan... (BHG yes as it could be contaminated with water, easy enough to flush though)
Retorque subfame fasteners (supposed to be done every 50K miles but most cars are never done), and the shock top mounts could be bad, that will cause a rattle as well.
Side windows aren't layered like the windshield so it should just be on the inside (and I doubt it's factory). The only window that's tinted from the factory is the back hatch.
Depends what you're starting with as well. Hitting 5ooHP in a MKIV on a budget isn't too hard if it's in good shape (less worn out, so less money needed). MKIII with a 7M is a lot tougher.
Now 400HP is quite a bit easier, but the same goes for a domestic. 400 is minor mods on an LS1...
