ok so i got the twins out, the turbo in the rear was the hardest to take out. i didnt remove the piping on the rear turbo, because it was almost impossible. now the turbos are out, but im having trouble putting the rear one back on any suggestions? pictures would be awesome.
i was really bored and tired of pulling out the twins, so i decided to take a break and pull off the dp and cat. i ended up drilling all the stuff inside and breaking it up, so now the whole cat is completely hollow. if i hold it up to the light i cant see right through it. does anyone know how...
its not nice =( its leaking. anyways if you dont have a hydro lift and your stuck with hand tools, it would suck BIG TIME! i had to use hand tools to take off the CAT so i could hollow it out, and the whole exhaust system fell on me while i was under the car. ouch?
thats what i said when the crazy lady said cork was OK. i gave her the :nono: face. knowing that she worked at pepboys and obviously she "knew" something about cars, since im a kid and all. i believed her:icon_conf
~.~ i bought a whole sheet of cork damn lady at pepboys said it was fine. i call BS! she should be fired. do they have the gaskets in stock or do you have to special order?
i went to my local autostore and asked if they had any exhaust gaskets for the 1j and they asked me if it was a v8 -_- well i ended up just wire brushing the manifold and decided to use cork. any opinions on cork, is it any good or should i be using something else?
driftmotion already has the kit available, it comes with most of the lines needed for the swap, check out their thread. it was like 400 dollars or something.
i just received the twins today, i found oil on the compressor housing fins. im guessing thats a bad thing. idk how the compressor fins would get oil on them, the only way it would is from the valve covers. how can i check if the turbos are blown, because if i bought a set that are blown that...
