Good time to get it rebuilt, and upgraded. Get you're stock injectors cleaned, pick up a Maft-Pro, full 3" exhaust, and all the supporting mods mentioned before and you'll be able to meet your goal.

This isn't the first time I've seen people complaining about innacuracy with the Boost gauge. Is this a serious problem? I'll have my Maft-Pro to read boost when dialing in tuning but a very accurate boost gauge I can monitor anytime is still very important to me, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I always had 40+psi at idle on my bone stock, 18 yr old, 100k mile 7M bottom end. And 7M rods had been pushed to 500-600whp... How are they weak? Of course a shorter rod will be less prone to failure, but it also robs you of half a liter.

Doesn't have to be. All my past car's have had 6" up front and 6x9's in the rear because of more available room. The front speakers just create a stage effect where the sound is in front of you, rather than behind your head.
