i took off the lower grille on my pre89 bumpep..i didnt have an 89+ bumper keith..i originally was talking about eliminating the little nose on the 89+ bumper

i know what youre talking about...i did that with my old 86.5...i took mine out and i liked the look...i was gonna do the same with a 89+ bumper just minus the nose...then i had to sell it...i'll be picking up an 89 this weekend...just gotta tow it...

well, i was guessing there would be more airflow to the intercooler and/or radiator...but personally, i just like the pre89 grille section...the nose is ugly IMO..but the 89+ bumper is more aggressive...just don't like the nose
