Take off the switches and clean the contacts. Takes about 5 minutes. Driver side is a bit more involved... but the same concept.

I just retorqued mine. Its really a pretty simple and fairly quick procedure. Especially since you should be familiar with the car by doing a head gasket job. I must say that the crack sound when loosening a head bolt was a pretty scary sound when I first heard it. I thought i broke a socket!

Been a while since my strength of materials class... What hardness scale .. Brinell, Rockwell? And what results should I expect. I'd rather sound stupid here than when I'm asking a vendor :)

Meaning they were annealed because of a gasket failure or something that caused the engine to get hot, not due to a process during a rebuild?
