I figured heat would be bad because of the bearing just behind it, close tolerances and all. The engine is in the car, so tonight, I guess I begin the long process of grinding.
I am trying to remove my pilot bearing. The grease trick didn't work, a bearing puller didn't work, a slide hammer didn't work. I drilled it, got the inner race and bearings out, that leaves just the outer race. A slide hammer and puller won't grip it, a sawsall won't cut it, a hack saw won't...
If this is a daily driver, I don't recommend the RPS flywheel. I have it with a one piece and the driveability went way down. Also, get a full face clutch disc to avoid chatter. I don't know what's available for the W58 but I hope this helps.
