I've never acutally found Japanese prices to be that cheap, even on Jap only models.
For example I'm looking at a 1JZ Soarer that's already been imported to the UK, all registered, all ready to drive away today on autotrader for £1,800 ($3,600). A comparable cars still in Japan seem to be...
Original ebay ad -
It sold for £555. 6 months later the new buyer realized what an utter heap of shit he had bought, and listed it for a BIN of £1000 :3d_frown:
Long live Barryboys.co.uk! :biglaugh:
No, I'm pretty sure the BMW is mine, but I'll throw in a picture of my supra anyway
Clean? No. Is it fast? No. Is it a particularly nice car? In it's current state, No. But it is it "ghetto"? I think not, unless you can tell me how a bone stock qualifies as ghetto?
Look joe, I'm really...
Funny you should mention E Classes, there is a rough looking W124 someone has kindly dumped/left to rot outside my house :(.
Nice S-Class you've got by the way, you're starting to give me some ideas :evil2:
My bit of V8 goodness :bigthumb:
The Gas Mileage is nothing short of awful (10MPG anyone?), but when provoked the V8 never ceases to put a smile on my face.
However, it's Soon to be replaced with something a little more turbocharged :evil2:.
Err, adding a Turbo to your car isn't a sure fire way to increase it's value.
I'd personally take a clean NA over a half arsed NA-T attempt anyday of the week.
Have you actually tried a Miata (passanger rides don't count as there is slightly more leg room on the driver's side) or are you just making assumptions because they look small?
If you're looking for reliability, I'd steer clear of a 5 series or a GS like you've mentioned already in this...
He says to the guy who has only recently just turned 16 himself.
Just out of interest Matt, was you're car looking like shit at the time (I.E Unwashed/Unloved)? Last time I left my supra sitting for a prolonged time unwashed I got a "Free Scrap-Car Removal" flyer left under my wiper :3d_frown:
When I comes to engine swaps, You're only limited by your imagination and depth of your pockets ;).
You might also want to look into turboing the 7MGE that's already in your car if it's running fine. Given the higher compression ratio, NA/T setups tend to produce a little more torque than GTE...
What's this got to do with anything?
By that logic anyone with a 93.5-96 JZA80 is mad as they could have a mint condition Corvette of the same year for no more than $10k (according to KBB at least)...
