The fan connector is grey. It's coming off the pump. Unplugging the connector should result in a noticeable drop in fan speed. The fan is very audible. If you unplug the connector, the fan does basically dead quiet.

Running rich does not create white smoke. White smoke is either coolant or oil. What failed ECU caps are going to cause either of those?

Spend your money on the CT26 kit with maybe a 57trim or 60trim. Save yourself the headache of dealing with the stock twins.
