i think you need to go over each system 1 x 1 to verify all his hooked up, and ck the starter at a parts store, and re verify the timing is correct. let us know how it is going.

if you feel confident the do it, no one is saying you should do it, but if it was me, i would do it for just peace of mind. just like when the Tundra goes to the dealer ship for a timig belt, ( i dont feel froggy enough to do it nor do i actually have a place to do it) im gonna get the wp replaced.

not sure of the 1ggte, but usally all 86.5-92 jza70, ma70, and ga70 are the same when it comes to certain parts, i would assume that a cat back system would work, not many people here have a 1ggte, to be honest you might want to try either a aussie forum, or the http://mkiiisupra.net/index.htm...

how many miles on that ge pump? im telling you, ditch it and get a new one little cost now saves u BIG time down the road.

also even a couple plug wires crossed, first time i cranked up mine, it had 3 wires crossed, man that was fawkin interesting, but yea 180 out will make for a fun time starting.

dont rull out the starter, like anything it can go bad when ever it feels, also is your timing correct? like an old v8 off timing can make it hard to start.

yup a 2j will work, iirc there is no difference in a 2JZGE or 2JZGTE. and also need the back piece to the 2J wp as well.

are the ecu connectors the same for the 1J/2J? i wouldnt think they were, and how is that working out for a 2J on a 1J harness what mods did that take u?

I am descent at wiring and schematics and would give it a hell of a try. besides the JDM turbos what are the JDM cams, map sensor drawbacks? Injectors are Low imp correct? If so i assume there are plug n play upgrades ava? Im gathering here that the route i should go is: leave it a JDM...
