Either punch them tighter or drill them our and wire around them and that will fix it. All the other conditions of when them come on or go off is random, coincidental. BTW if it's cold the symptoms will be worse.

Then you were performing the test incorrectly, as I was.
I corrected my images to show you apply 3v trigger to:
pin 2 for IG2
pin 2&4 for IG1
pin 2&3 for IG3

I've got a spare that pass the TSRM test I could send you $50 shipped.
Flip switch 4 up. That will clear the engine configuration, cylinders, and the learned air flow and throttle signal. I don't think it will clear the set rpm points, correction percentage or response configuration. You'll have to verify those manually.
