I'm not sure why it's the way it is..but it is how it is. You can't run a slick in the back and a radial in the front. You're fine with drag radials though.
If you're FWD however, you can run slicks in the front with a radial in the back.
For some reason they don't play nice with rear slicks...
Mine doesn't smoke either aside from fuel smoke...but after boosting and coming to a stop i can smell burning oil. It's enough to notice on the dipstick when I check it every now and then. I don't know if it's quite what you're losing but I was slowly but surely burning it off.

Looks awesome man. I think you should lower it. The pro-kit doesn't have too much of a drop, plus you could always ride off-center like I do down my alley way.
The thing is..it's not just Honda guys.. Its guys in Neons, Saturns, Ford Focuses, v6 mustangs, Celica gt's. That's why I put the stock exhaust back on my Honda... I was tired of people trying to race me just because I had an Apexi N1 on it..

Oh and as for the EGR block off plates.. You only need 2 of the small ones. One to block off the port in the back of the head and one to block off the intake manifold port. You can leave the others on the head open and don't need that massive...
