Ok took off the cam covers and didn't see anything out of the ordinary all lobes were in contact with their shims and I didn't see any shims out of place. I drained the oil and I am gonna get some magnets tomorrow so I can check it for metal shavings. Also I think I might check the clearances in...

So it overheated after the coolant squirted out. Put some coolant in the over flow container and let it idle for a few mins then check it again. Leave the cap on the radiator.

If coolant was overflowing while you were burping it...then you drove it and it overheated...did you fill it back up with coolant?
