Torque converter? I have no idea, just my thoughts... Dad's truck had a torque converter going out, but it would only shake when you were doing like 60-65 and kept the speed constant...... Could the idle be set too low?

last time I had a code 34, I had a boost hose off...... I think it ran really crappy at idle, and then it would die when I hit the gas.... any boost hoses cracked, loose, or off? only thing I've had that got a code 34....

*bump* Car was originally a 5sp NA, swapped it over to a 7mgte. Not sure about all the wiring, but the harness came from an 87T, but I have mostly parts from a 91. One last thing, knock sensor wires... are they wrapped to keep out electrical noise? I know its just a single wire...
