so, the gas tank was shit that i saw today =0(
so i guess this weekend i'll be hunting for some tanks in the junkyard to see if any are in decent shape.
i didn't realize fuel cells were soooo expensive, but i'm curious to know how all the things that go into the stock tank would fit/bolt up to...
damn...
i get more comments when i don't have pictures up =0(
anyways...i'm getting another tank tomorrow that is supposed to be clean for like a hundred bucks, so depending on what that looks like, i'll be using that and getting THAT much closer =0)

my questions are...
MOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
ok. i dropped the gas tank
haha put it on the creeper for easy mobility =0)
i started removing the fuel pump cause i need to install the walbro one and found this shit :aigo:
...disgusting!!!!!!!!:icon_evil
anyways...i started the...
ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
let's post some pictures!
ok i started by jackin up the supra for better accessibility of the gas tank
disconnected the fuel lines/hoses
started the draining process...shit was pretty nasty
while it was draining, i decided to go ahead and make my USDM TB...
i don't mind the idea cleaning myself, but i have a couple questions for you...
how the hell do you mount a gas tank to an engine stand?:aigo:
and more importantly, what would be the best/safest cleaning agents to use that wont dilute/ruin the fuel that i put in it when i'm all done?

while i was installing my walbro fuel pump, i noticed that the inside of my gas tank is quite nasty. there's rust and crap and the strainer on the stock pump was disgusting. so, i'm wondering if i should pay $125+tax to get it cleaned or try and find an aftermarket one? if anyone knows where...
well, according to the TSRM i have the NA TB gasket. but either way one of the holes on the upper intake manifold for the TB is stripped so i have to re-tap that hole. i might as well go to toyota and pick up the Turbo TB gasket while i'm at it. thanks guys for all the help!

i'm curious....i have a TB gasket but it doesn't seem to line up properly on my turbo TB but it also doesn't seem that it would cause anything bad. if someone has a pic to compare the two, that would be great
thanks, t3d
