I know you just did a rebuild but try a compression test mayb? it make cars idle idle rough and run rough til about 2k rpms becuase when the rev goes it sorta smoothes it out.
Also, your timing is set correct is that right? Is it idling rough or misfiring at idle?
Well if it helps I couldn't hear mine, I just noticed when taking the bolts off they weren't even tight. Or maybe a gasket idk
Just sound like you're having slow spool from a pre turbo exhaust leak to me. Do you have an fuel upgrades?
It almost sounds like you have an exhaust leak pre turbo, may want to take it off and check the gaskets, I've found that my bolts weren't all the way tight on the bottom before.
Also, have you checked the TPS according to TSRM? Have you done the tests to tell if your tps is bad? Sometimes it can be calibrated correctly but the tps itself is still bad
Ahhh Holset that's what It was, some one on here has posted asking about the same turbo before I really can't remember. Look in the turbo section, should be there.
Yep, adjustment screw you don't want to touch. When adjusting the idle you mess with timing, afr, and tps but never the asjustment screw. You may want try and get it back to where it was from the factory and ground your igniter, check plug gap and then see where you are.
Well the 92 ecu should work on an 89 since the 89 and up use the grey connectors. And the ecu is for a 7mgt which is the motor you have. so you should be fine. Now, what concerns me is you said you have 550cc injectors but didnt mention a lex afm to allow 25% more air to make up for the added...
This was actually the recent problem with mine. I had low compression in cylinder 6 added, added oil and didnt notice much so I moved on to a leakdown. Results were a horribly bad leaking intake valve. I mean, they were done. The previous owner didnt take to good of care so I took the head off...
the price of buying an eBay kit and having the turbo blow up under your hood/or only lasting like 500 miles before you need a rebuild will end up costing more than buying a ct26 from Driftmotion
Join the page on Facebook Toyota Supra MK3 Appreciation club, post a status you need a ct26, you'll...
lol whoever had the car before me chaved enough off and put a 3mm hg on I raise my compression to about 180 and as far as I know interanals are all stock
