3.73 is little high for my taste, at least for around town.. if you do a lot of highway miles, it may be just right though.
3.91 is a great compromise IMO.. that combo turns ~3k at 75mph.
they are loud as hell.. hence the saying, " the twin plates singing." -this can be applied to a triple plate too though.
as Flateric said, yours may be excessive because the condition I'm referring to only happens when the clutch is disengaged.
I agree but don't have an answer.. There might be a lot more to this than the obvious, I've had some interesting driveline issues as of late, and it might be related to those washers in some part.
look at the seller.. that guy (forget his name) always has rare mk3 parts posted here, so this really doesn't shock me (aside from the obvious question of why).
The ACT 6 puck (w/2800lb PP) or equivalent (such as the Action) will hold 500wtq.. For the most part, regardless of what setup you have, a 1J is going to be fine with this level of holding power. Plus, drivability doesn't suffer much at all.

The issue or my excuse is that the 245/40/18 on that 9.5 looks pretty lame even though the drop is decent. I'm thinking a 255 wouldn't be enough of a difference, so maybe 265? And the front 8.5s could use a 235...
