Just because 'every' 2JZ you've seen had a high idle, that means it's right? If the engine is idling high, it DOES mean there is a problem. 1000+ is not the correct idle speed. crrider80: Have you checked your codes yet?

A 1000RPM+ idle is not perfect. That's pretty far off actually. Unless you have some serious loping cams or trying to prevent clutch chatter.

I don't recall Soarer 1JZ TTs having TRC. Maybe you got a chaser/mark II motor... which would be front sump along with a few other parts that you'll have to change to make it work in a Supra.

No kidding... Dust on the camera. Or any other kind of spot or smudge.
