You can do some testing, I.E. leakdown, etc. to check for other issues after your overheating. Check the oil, see if there is coolant in it *should look something similar to chocolate milk if theres coolant present* If it is a HG, then you'll need: New HG...duh Head bolts and/or studs...

I know you said you checked your PS fluid level, but check it again and even add a touch. My PS constantly slow leaks, and just about once a week I have to top it off, even if it still lies above the min. mark on the dipstick

the rough idle could be fixed with a simple BOV adjustment...Try tightening it if it has an adjustment. As for the other issue, yes, check codes first. Otherwise, is it getting boost? What is your boost guage reading when it cuts out?

Not too sure what you mean about the colors. I could be missing something. But, you can tap into just about any strong vacuum scource AFTER the throttle body. Or, if you have an aftermarket vacuum manifold, run a line from there to your BOV.

As stated above its a good idea to get the supporting mods done beforehand that way you don't damage anything else in the proccess. But, as far as upgraded turbos, the upgraded Ct's are the ticket. You can search around for many various threads on different types of upgrades, wheels, trims...
