I have/had the same problem. Was not getting fuel. The pump would come on but once it would start it would turn off. I have some codes and I know what is wrong but I lack the funds to fix it right now. I jumped the fuel pump and she ran and is still running. I put a relay and a fuse in line but...
Rebuild what you have. Get everything checked for cracks and warp age. Then decide from there. What good is buying a head from eGay when you might have to get it machined anyway. JDM engine, my self I would not just drop it in with out at least tearing it down to see how it looks in side...
Well Ian i must have done something wrong. i have bent one before but it was on a hoist and not a stand or in the car so I'm sure that had alot to do with it...lol

Never worried about bending the flex plate or breaking the teeth off the ring gear? Just seems like alot of pressure concentrated in a small area. Although I'm sure my method was no better...lol
Ian, I think when they say "crank it" they mean hit the starter with the breaker bar on the crank bolt though I'm sure you got that part. I got mine off with a 36" pipe wrench and placed it around the inside where the bolt is and the outside where the belt rides. Not sure if it is right or wrong...

Working on a Lexus IS F drift car. Still tuning but I’m starting to like this car as a drift car. LAYZORBEEMZ and I drifted for a while last night. Maybe we could get more people this weekend and have some fun? Any takers?
