I was actually getting at maybe he got sent one of the OLD M series engines that have mechanical fuel pumps on them, not a 7M ;).
Which cars with a 7M came with a mechanical fuel pump?
If his turbo is a regular GT40, then he's right in the sweet spot on the compressor map at 1 bar at 6500 RPMs, even moreso at 7500. It it's a GT40r, then he's definitely not in the best efficient spot for that turbo.
Fuel pump you say? Is it on the intake side down low where the J-tube is supposed to be? If so, you sure you don't have an older model M series engine? You need to snap a few shots and show us...
About 500 SAFELY. People have made much more then that, but that's a good safety index to stop at. Why push something as important to an engine's life like a stock connecting rod past it's limit? Think of aftermarket con. rods as cheap insurance for a costly engine rebuild due to a broken rod.
Wait, wait. You've got all that shit in your car and you don't know what a copper spark plug is??? WTF? You're asking for serious trouble without an upgraded valve train when setting redline to 7500 RPM's. I see no mention of any valvetrain mods. Your fuel pump will running out of flow before...
His prices aren't set in stone, unless he says what he charges is set and will not change, then don't post up a price for his services.
Respecfully spoken,
Chris
Whatever brand tire you go with, along with it's width, will have a recommended MINIMUM rim width to install on, follow those guidelines and you will be ok. Some brands in 245 flavor may be recommended as ok on a 7" wide rim, but another brand may not ;)
