A spacer was needed for the wastegate in order to properly run the dump tube. The way it bolts onto the manifold the dump either faces against the subframe or the block, with only a couple inches clearance on either side. I am sure it is POSSIBLE to make some hacked dump tube work, but I just...
I am using one of the manifolds...It has held up fine. No cracking, not much discolouration.
I had to relocate my oil filter mount.
I had to make a spacer to fit the turbo.
Downpipe was a pain to make, need a VERY tight radius bend.
Intake pipe was a pain to make (4" dia.) Not going...
I used a stock ct-26 oil line, cut the flange off, faced the surface and welded on a -10an fitting to the flange.
Straight re-usable swivel -10an fitting, -10an SS braided teflon hose, 45* re-usable swivel -10an fitting and then a -10an to 1/2" NPT adaptor to thread onto the garrett return...
There is no need to roast your street radials.
Lower tire pressure to 20psi and smokem to get the dirt off. That is all.
Old setup I cut 14.0 with intake, a 2.75" exhaust and w/10psi. stock turbo. Dropped 0.3 secs just from lowering the tire pressure.
I had one of the honda SSautchrome manifolds and one of the supra ssautochrome manifolds taken to a turbo shop and had them compared.
The honda ones are pure shit. They had a ton of those manifolds lying around in a junk pile all cracked and looking like "glass."
BUT, the supra ones are...
Remove upper and lower coolant hoses from the rad to the engine.
Remove T-stat
Insert a hose into the upper coolant housing where t-stat normally sits, turn water on, drain till water runs clear. :icon_bigg
This will be messy so be ready with some dry towels.
Remove the climate control and gauge cluster.
Lower the steering column (17mm bolts) You do not have to remove the steering wheel.
Disconnect speedo cable.
There are not that many bolts holding the dash in really (5-10), just pull and feel around, shouldnt be to hard.
Are you using stock diameter lines?
For the evaporation line (charcoal can) you can vent it anywhere really, just keep it away from a heat source, gas fumes ignite easily...
By new lines do you mean new Toyota ones? Or did you go with larger diameter custom lines? If you have larger diameter lines you will want a fule filter with larger diameter inlets/outlets. The one I am using is an Earls Racing one. $50-60cdn.
