So I got a MK3 about 6 or 7 months ago. In a dreadful state in terms of electrics and body. Though mechanically was excellent.

There was my intro thread.
So after much work the car is running well. Starts...
Gave it a go. The battery is fairly new so there wasn't much to clean.
It might be related to the ignition circuit somehow. Has run fine every day since the incident though..........
Actually, another thing that (may) be relevant:
My key isn't very good. Upon insertion into the err keyhole sometimes it needs a bit of persuasion, and it sometimes drops slightly in it's positioning. Hasn't been a problem before (apart from when starting up). Any chance of it being that?
The wife's driving it at the moment (short commute, coupla miles) and this morning everything decided to cut out. All that was still working was the stereo.
She steered it to the side (with no power steering of course), parked it and started up again. All fine and dandy and off she went...
That IS the discounted price. Undiscounted = 265.
He's looking around other places for me in his spare time. No online sources that any of you guys use? :-(
So the long road to getting my supra ship shape (before the aesthetics anyway) rumbles on.
My mechanic (friend) and I have traced some troublesome vibration to the "driveshaft support". Toyota want around $200 for a new one. My mechanic says it's way too much and they usually go for way...
Since this isn't really technical, I guess I'm having trouble deciding where to post this.
Anyway. I'm a newbie to bodywork, but my 89 turbo has a messed up front bumper. The previous owner CUT OUT the grill near the bottom and it's kinda sagged at the bottom.
An OEM replacement is $305...
When trying to use my AC the compressor does not engage. When it's bypassed we can get it to work and it has more than enough freon in it.
Basically it's not getting the signal. Any ideas?
Gonna be doing some checks on the circuit tonight but first must check the transmission. Yesterday it just err stopped working. Got up to 20mph then all the power was there but not getting to the wheels.
Then on the trip home the car was fine. Gonna put it up on a lift and check just to make...
So I'm getting code 22. Water temp sensor (according to alldata) apparently. The car has a cold start problem. CSI, despite the fact it works(tested), does not get the signal to work when it should.
The water temp sensor seems to work. It was changed (as the prev. one was kaput).
