Just an FYI, you CAN gap iridiums, the manufacturers (sp?) just tell you not too because some swinging dick is going to come along with one of those round gapping tools that fit on your keychain and try to gap with that, instead of using the proper tool for the job, which is only 5-6 bucks.
Check out jdub's SME section on here. He has a nice little link to a screw in valve for the oil pan that will allow you to drain the oil by just turning a little lever. Once your first container is full, close the lever, place the next empty container there, then open back up and drain completely.
If you really want it, you can hit him up for the deal, I'm done ruffling his feathers.... For now ;)
Just remember, you've been warned about how long that turbo will last, even when properly balanced like MDC did on one.
:werd:
Changing spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap on my 6G72 took 3 hours the first time, and about 1 1/2 hours the second time after getting a bad batch of wires the first time around
It's just you ;).
Oh, you'd need a spare alright ;).
I don't see them lasting long...
Dyno? Shit, this engine's been beat on enough as is. It's about time for a rebuild ;).
I think he's native to the US. He just wanted to irk me after I was being persistant. He claims to have been running a performance turbo rebuilding company for over 20 years now. :dunno:
He finally admitted that he doesn't personally do upgrades larger than the 60-1.
I didn't want it in the first place. I was browsing around ebay and came upon that auction and remember the old threads on this upgrade and why it's not a smart way to go. So I figured I'd let him know about it, since he only sells the front half and doesn't install it, therefor not knowing how...
What a coincidence this thread was brought up. I met a guy with a VR-4 a while back and finally got to see his car yesterday and check it out. It came with all of the stuff that was on it already. It had a knock-off of the RFL on it, but it was deffinitely an attention grabber when he shifted...
Are you talking about the 67 trim or the 60-1?
What are you're thoughts on the 67 trim upgrade being offered on ebay?
Or was you just joking and I didn't see the sarcasm? :sarcasm:
