Duane - Yea, a chunk of aluminum with a little bit bored from the middle looks heavier than a molded plastic cover.

Seems unlikely, if it were leaking I imagine it would affect more then only decel.

I also have my doubts that a vac leak on the FPR would cause anything like this. The injectors should be off completely above ~1700 revs... nevermind.
Unless you are hearing abnormal noises (compressor surge) when the BOV is releasing air, I wouldn't worry about it.
If you were going to run 2 Porsche valves, as you already know, to get the best out of them you should have another port in your intake hose to make sure when they go off, it...
Although I doubt you'd see immediate destruction, it's probably not the best to start it and 10 seconds later hold it on the limiter.

The people who own Supras and bitch about fueling them undoubtedly spend ludicrous amounts of money on other crap they don't need on a daily basis; making the point moot from the start. Maxtor on the other hand... I'm not impressed with.
Either way, Poodles is exactly right which is why I'm very careful with my laptop while its running, and I have all of my desktop drives either in front of a fan or at least in some...
