Hook up a vacuum gauge, if FP drops as vacuum increases once you have leveled at X RPM, then its working properly. AFAIK there has never been a failure of one of those FPR, they are damn near bulletproof.

Mine is a FL car, it needed a 9 3/4in test pipe to make it fit perfectly with no stress on the rubber donuts.

It won't fit properly if you don't lose 1.5-2 inches out of something, it sticking out past the bumper is not the problem.

You'll be spending A LOT if this goes wrong. It can work, with a lot less then you've got.

Just leave your foot on the throttle until the cruise pulls it out from under you. It will engage smooth as silk. Mine is also broken, and like poodles said, every car I have ever driven had a delay before the cruise kicked in.

It's interesting that you don't want the increased boost. Most people with cars in a similar mod state to yours love the extra power.
