OK that is making since. My car breaks up at 3500 on the head. Even with my new AFPR I am still seeing 3-5 psi fluctuation in the fuel pretty at idle. Even more if I rev it. Upon further investigation, I noticed that my car will not hold the pressure in the line after it's been running. My...
What was the result of said compression test? How do you have the engine timed? Have you tried to check your fuel pressure? If everything is as you say it is it more than likely sputter or something.
5/5 sounds great! I'm doing an internship in Lafayette Ga right now so I can probably make it down. I would just have to run back down to my parents place in South Alabama to finish up some things on the car and pick it up. If I can't get the stuff done in time keep me posted on future Supra...
Does the engine tend to have this issue only when it is under a load and you are driving or does it do it as well under a free rev while in neutral (parked) as well. If so see if you have any major changes in the fuel pressure at that rpm.
I'm honestly thinking about the 48 as well. I think that it will provide me with much of what i'm looking for powerwise. The 128 does seem worth the extra investment however.
The issues relating code 52 are generally isolated to the sensors or the wiring going to the sensors. The chances of an ecu being dead is rare. Basically most likely you have 2 separate issues you are dealling with most likely.
Ok thanks i'm going to work on getting rid of that tomorrow. Just real quick, does this sound like a fuel or spark gap issue to anyone? I think I will pull the plugs and check out the gap. Also I as I said I am running the walbro on the stock wiring and fpr. Could this also have any bearing on...
That's right code 52 just gives you crappy gas milage (result of the added fuel) and retards the timing. I just go rid of my code 52 issue but it ran fine. I would start my diagnosis by trying to figure out if you are getting any type of spark
