Yea, im definitely going to give Spec a call on monday. I bought it from Horsepowerfreaks.com so I wonder if they will want me to deal with them. We will see.

Edit - Just found this one the website:
I bought it 10/7/05 but probably only put 5,000 or 7,000 miles on it since then.
Really!?! How old was it at the time? Mine is the Spec stage 3 also with the 6 puck sprung disk. I love this clutch for the price, well I guess I got what I paid for.
That failure looks exactly like the same type as mine, what were you doing at the time and what were the symptoms?
I...
Oh really! There we go, Ill have to send him a PM.
Well I needed an excuse to start my rebuild, so now I got it! I think ill go with an RPS this time if I cant get a new spec for free.
looks like it was the pin that broke first, the one that goes through the face of the pressure plate and the "metal strap" from the severe impact of engagement at 6500RPM. That caused the strap, (or spring, or whatever its called) to swing out and impact that edge of the bellhousing at over 100...
You guys are too smart. But your only half right! There is something else broken too! (as a result of the carnage).
The bellhousing! Freakin' spec clutch. :nono:
So heres how we play. I will tell you what happened, and describe the symptoms, and you guess what broke while I go tear it down and find out what happened.
Winner of the contest will receive mad props.

That series turbo setup comes factory on a lot of the newer CAT diesels. On the motorhomes I work on, they have problems keeping the charge air cooler couplers on. The fix is to install a second t-bolt spring clamp to all connections. They run up to 50psi from the factory.
If you took off the bolts to the upper intake manifold, then you took off the main ECU ground wires. Make sure you got them back on when you put it back together. Its a ring terminal with 2 wires going to it, on the second or third bolt from the back of the motor. Its very easy to miss them.
Sweet, what an awesome setup! Post up some pictures of it when you get a chance.
Sounds like you got it figured out, but here is link to an online copy of the supra TSRM with the wiring diagrams in case you havent come across that yet:

That wont help the starter ground, you need to check the ground from the block to the battery!
Edit: Also check that you have 12V at the large battery cable to the starter WHILE trying to crank. You can have a poor connection in which not enough amperage will flow to crank the engine but it...
