Would you be able to find out a bit more from you friend? As in what caused the issue, was it circuit, switch or resistor problems? Welcome and don't let all the hype get to you, stay 7mgte. It is a strong reliable motor that can hold good power before major upgrades are needed. The head gasket issue is easily fixable.

3 star wheels are lame and kind of a chick thing, car looks better with the other rims. 5 star wheels are played out no matter how you make it a 5'er. just my opinion.
