Why can't we all get along? I have a 2 bay garage, on the right we have a LHD supra 7m turbo 5sp and on the left a RHD soarer 1jz 5sp. They never fight with each other!

question guys, I used to use amsoil sythetic signature series and amsoil filter, change every 10k kilometers. too expensive now. So I picked up GC 0w30 and napa gold filter...how often do I need to change oil and filter? This is for a 1jz

Someday..I will do the LSx in an rx7 :) Not sure if its worth 1.5jz just to gain 500cc, unless I can find a 2jz-gte bottom real cheap. tough choices... I have seen people over here make 600+hp on stock 1jz...not sure how long they lasted though and I am sure the powerband sucked!

I bet my soarer could take a Elise in the twisties I'm sure some well prepped supras could as well. They are very different cars for different purposes..

I can pick up a 1uz over here for 350 bucks, but not sure if the 1uz can handle my power goals. I want to make 650rwhp, the 1jz would be easier to achieve this goal but power band would suck.

well since soarers had a 1uz option, this might not be a bad idea. but its a lot of work for just 4.0, I will look into it. Its just so embarrassing these days when these punk ass kids are going out and buying Hyundai genesis/tiburon whatever with 3.8L...

wow so I took a look at the supra build with the 1fz swap... that is a TALL motor, would not fit with our hoods at all!

that's what promoted me to make this thread. In any case, this wont be going in my supra, but my soarer which has a 1jz. I am hating the powerband on the 1jz, I think its a waste of a motor to be honest....too damn small Having difficulty finding much information on the 1FZ

So I was wondering if anyone here has worked with a 1FZ-FE motor? or possibly even swapped them into the supra and matted a r154 to them? Just curious..seems like an interesting motor for a few reasons: inline 6, so easier to make a turbo manifold 4.5L, so bigger then a 1uz...
