^that's a good idea. We just did a torque check on my brother's car about about 1000 miles. Fortunately, the hg bolts were fine but I can't say the same for other things (i.e, valve cover bolts, alternator, motor mounts, etc).

I generally get the oem stuff from my local dealership. It's just an overall clean look imo. Plus they give me very nice discounts because I bring my business to them along with other guys with old school yotas

I agree, since it ran hot warpage could be a possibility. It doesn't take that much overheating on an aluminum head.

Other than the occassion trans failure from poor maintainence, those things are rock solid and roomy.

I agree or you could always get an older Toyota Camary (say 08-09). They aren't very expensive, easily maintainable and reliable.

You have to remember that the C7 vette is also 7 speed manual. Not sure how the trans-gears are setup but I am assume that 4th or 5th is 1:1 leaving 2 maybe even 3 overdrive gears. On the note, I have seen order Ls1 powered Corvettes and Camaros hit the higher 20's on open highway. I agree...

I guess power does come at a cost. lol I just switched from my yukon to the supra. The yukon saw like 12-14 city and maybeeee 20 hwy. 25 gallon tank and 89 octane was getting steep. lol
