I had asked the same question. Most of the guys who have probe pistons are either
A. Not done with the build yet.
B. Are not pushing the car to the testing point yet.
Stock internals will be fine. Please make sure that your machinest follows what jdub especially as far as specs. Machining a domestic motor is alot different then an important. These motors must be within there spec or you'll be doing it again.
Unless u have a high lift cam with a monster turbo 7200 is where most of the off the shelve cams are making there power;) I was interested in the bc but I think I'll go for the over kill and get the dual ferrea just in case I can afford custom billet cams.
How much does the motec cost? There is no such thing as cost when you are going for a big build. IF i decided to build a dyno queen I would like for everything to be up to par?
I've been waiting for you IJ. By all means if I can afford the motec I will buy. The only problem that I am finding out here in NC is a good tuner for both Motec and the aem.
Good kill. I would'nt say civics don't count though. I know a few that will hand out a thrashing. It is part of the game though. You win some ..... you lose some. The whole idea is that you have something to race with. Good job on the build.
That is good to know. The reason why I asked this question is because it seems as if those guys who are making very good hp numbers all have motec. Now don't get me wrong all of my honda friends use the aem. I have also seen a couple of them take a shit.
