I want a new harness. Mine is very worn it doesn't look so hot. Too much money for right now though. Id agree with you guys and say its a good move to be replacing them right now if they are original.
Lotek is good. But unless they have changed recently DO NOT BUY THE 3 POD one. 3 pod one doesnt fit properly. But the 2 pod fit perfect. They sent me a 2 pod no charge when i complained. They have good customer service. More than just me complained too i had a thread full of people on sf...
ok guys i just figured out my problem. Someone suggested on supraforums. The little wire that clips into the starter was no good on mine. If i jump it to the battery it turns over. I guess ill be wiring a switch to the cabin for now.
jdub is right. Depending on how specific you were in the beginning. A machine shop that rebuilds a head and comes across something wrong will usually fix it without thinking about it because it needs to be done. So if you didn't very clearly state that you wanted nothing done beyond what you...
It was my first car. and it cost me more than i could afford to keep it on the road. I kind of wish i never came across the deal i got. Id be a hell of a lot richer.
Mine stalled and barely stayed running when i first installed it. Turned out the AFM signal wire connection wasn't good enough. I used a butt connector instead of solder and the car went back to normal.
On my 89 its bolted just below the drivers side tail light. So you have to take off the interior in the trunk. just the moulded piece at the very rear of the car that covers the tail lights. Its a white box. Ive never had one fail i don't know how to diagnose it. Im sure thats on the forum...
Well there is no coolant in the oil. That makes me feel better.
I rebuilt with a MHG, ARPs. Block and head were machined. Torqued to 88ft/lbs.
I guess its time to flush again
When i first put my motor back in my car the coolant started to gel up and oil would be sitting on top in the rad. I put some kms on the car now and ive flushed it twice. No fresh engine oil but it still gels up in the upper rad hose and on the rad cap. I take it off once in a while and...
Remember to use a toyo t-stat. Compare it to an aftermarket you can see the quality difference. That and my temp was always too low. I changed to the toyota thermostat from an aftermarket one and its right in the middle now.
Whats the deal with using distilled water anyway?
Yup on that rail there are 3 lines. 2 of them have little units on top. The one to the rear is the Fuel Pulsation Dampener connected to the fuel inlet. which is connected to another junction at the motor mount which goes to the tank. The Middle one goes to the center of the intake manifold...
No it won't really. The ecu just relearns fuel. Mine takes a while i guess because i have larger injectors and it runs bad rich while its relearning. It won't stay running on its own either.
If your car stalls because of the bov tighten the spring with the nut on the top. Im sure it will...
