I get some water in the rear too, but I don't understand how could that be the hatch seal.... On the other hand I'm using hatch seal from Ford Taurus or smt. It went in perfectly, exactly by millimeter :D
Yep, some acrylic black paint and then acrylic lacquer on it. Let's see how it holds up :D
It is the coolness in the sun, when looking under angle.. Or just under angle :).. you can't see the scratches then :D
Now some guys advised to use boatwax on the whole rim... Gotta try that.
Sooo... I stripped the paint, then wetsand with 400/600/800/1000/1200/1500 then used some different polished, like 30, 75 or smt.. and then handpolished with 80 or 85. Then I covered the rim with adhesive papertape and cut out the slots, and painted them.

exactly:icon_bigg And they are made from somekind of metal ( I don't know what) and they kinda don't get polished...The scrubbing does nothing. Dunno why. Even with like 400 wetsand I had to push really hard to get any marks on the caps.
