No regrets at all: The 7M has been proven to make big power reliably. The aftermarket has expanded and the prices for performance parts has dropped substantually over the years.

I felt that way too with all the flex. So I bought one of those Weezle targa bars and it feels nice and solid again.
If I had to do it again I would go with a hardtop instead of my Targa. I do care about weight, and 80 pounds is a lot. I would also prefer a stiffer body. Not to mention that I only use the Targa a few times a year since it's such a pain to take it on and off.

My car would not idle either with the BC264 cams. I had to set the cam gears to +4 intake and -4 exhaust to get it to idle. So obviously there must be lots of overlap with these cams. I also failed emmisions pretty bad.

I have a real HKS 40mm wastegate thats as old as dirt and it holds exactly what the spring is rated for. In my case, 15psi.
You need to disconnect your boost controller and only run off of the wastegate. (Just hook a vacuum line from your compressor housing to the side port of your wastegate)...
