haha...i have an idea, spend 5 hours in -10* weather trying to get into the supra you just bought. The guy washed it the day before the big freeze and didn't wipe the seals out haha.
wow i'm suprised...I just got a job in a hospital cafeteria eairlier this week and I start on Tuesday, and the money's going the same exact place everyone else's is!
...well there goes the last thing keeping me from picking up an EMS, next to money. There really IS a place within a days travel where I can have it tuned!
heh...you've got two noobs and one guy who knows what he's doing a few hours south of you guys. I'm one of the noobs and am helping the other noob do his HG. I can only imagine how that's going to turn out tomorrow.
oh believe me I know there's a lot of stuff that can go wrong...i'm just at the "there's oil in my intake mani, how did it get there?" stage. First I've got to fix my BHG, then go from there.
right now I'm thinking it may just be from sitting so long. Since there's no real gunk anywhwhere in...
i take it improper machine work on the block can also cause the pistons to rock and unseat the rings? That's about the only thing I can think of being that everything was replaced/upgraded 10K ago, and I highly doubt the turbo seals are going bad after that much time.
so what exactly causes excessive blowby? I took off my upper mani. the other day and noticed a bit of oil pooling in each of the runners on the lower mani. I wiped all that up, including the gunk behind the TB, but would like to know what causes is because the engine was fully rebuild about...
Yeah 17 is where I made 342...quite honestly I don't know what you would make...I'm still running the stock intercooler so the car is tuned horrendously rich, I figured I'd hold off on it until I got my FFIM setup and go all out.
1. the tweeters are Infinity 1011t's, which from what I've read have passive outboard crossovers (whatever that means lol)
2. yes, the standard outputs are amplified by the head. It's a clear shot from the HU to the speakers
3. yes, just 2 RCA jacks on the head
4. as of now there...
It's internally gated, believe me I was as suprised as anyone when I pulled away from that vette...probably just as suprised as the other driver, but I think I damaged his ego a little bit beating him with something 19 years older :biglaugh:
ok I'm a complete audio retard, i've got several components, but no clue what would be a good way to rig them up. So I'll ask you.
i have a head unit with 4 standard outputs and 1 amp output. I have a 50Wx4 amp, 4 6.5" speakers (two are currently in the front doors, and I'd like ot keep them...
the nice thing about living in the middle of nowhere is the ability to go up on a random hill and dump it....the one out behind my house is turning into a BLM scrapyard lol
