yeah i tried using 3m rubbing compound (heavy cut) before but it only made the car shiny enough to reflect but still had the faded chalky effect on it, so thats when i decided to repaint the whole car, PPG clearcoat ftw!

well ERA what u said is true. so far ive only spotted one 3e5 supra locally and they live closeby lol. maybe i just dont really look into red since my cars paint is faded, but after seeing mattjk's ride im thinking of sticking with red, and yeah LilMissMKIII i am lazy to repaint the engine bay ;)

well i tested the speakers out today and they sound great! im just gonna have to wait to get my rears and my tweeters for the whole sound system upgrade, also worked on the body, mainly removed the weatherstripping, more trims, and the mirrors (up for sale) as i will be getting 89+ ones, also...

hmm yeah im more towards keeping the same color, after all, red is a nice color, my interior is medium grey, i would prefer shadow grey though as it looks alott better than medium grey when its in mint condition imo

As many of you know, im doing an almost-FULL restoration to my mk3 supra, almost similar to "Project 1BYDFALT" except im not doing the exact same things, that would be a huge amount of work! But since my car is in need of paint, im having trouble deciding whether or not to stay with 3E5 or paint...

Updates! Stripped almost 3/4 of the interior, cleaned up a bit, fixed up some rust issues, yes i grinded it off and ran out of primer :( but then had to stop since power went out. Prepped the exterior for new paint for the whole car, and new 89+ tails and trim soon to come...

just depends on the painter and how much prep they did, and as for the trim, i chose 91 since i think that was the year they started color matching the trims to the body

So during the winter, supra is gonna be in the garage, working on it the whole time its in there so yeah, winter here in Seattle, WA is a long time so i have lots of time to work on it, so far here is my checklist, though i plan to do more stuff, any suggestions such as "tint windows" or "drop"...
