    so basically i should just take the diversity antenna wire off if i am taking the assembly off itself? like just leave the two thick defrost wires on and leave the 3rd wire for the antenna off?

    whats the worst from crossing the battery terminals

    have they tried checking the wires for possible connection cutoffs? and by "only headlights working" u mean everything doesnt work except that? do the gauges light up? radio? etc.... thats all i can think of

    have you checked all of the relays regarding ignition? because when i rebuilt my mk3, it would start sometimes then stop, and all it took was a loose harness that wasnt clipped in all the way :)
